The life of a 6 year old!

On Sunday, we were sitting in sacrament, and Karson leaned over to me and asked me, "Hey Mom, when does the Primary season end?" I just looked at him, then he added.."You don't need to sign me up for the next season of primary..."

The day prior I asked him if he wanted to watch the DVD of his little sister (The ultrasound).. I turned it on..and his only remark was " Oh Thank Goodness Mom, it is for sure a white baby"...What did he expect ? and I can't believe that was really one of his concerns...

I love my little Karson Buddah, he has really shown me what life and happiness is all about :)

Who else is anti-maternity clothes???

Why is it that 90% of all maternity clothes make you look like you are wearing a mumu?

I mean isn't being pregnant enough torment ! Why should you feel like crap and look like it too????

I am anti-maternity clothes, yep swimsuits and all, I have started just buying stuff at Forever 21 that's a size too big, and yes I am planning on sporting a bikini at the beach this week, no pictures though, I mean come on.... no one wants to see that !!!

Hockey vs. Figure Skating....

Karson wants to play Hockey....Did you know you can play hockey at 3 years old in Davis County, you can't play football till you are 8, but hockey at 3, go figure...anyway..in order to play hockey, you need to be able to skate..

Karson started skating lessons last Monday and he was awful...Everything usually comes so easy to him, but not this, I expected him to take off the skates and throw them vowing he was never skating again, after he made it across the ice 1 time in the the half hour lesson, it was over. I thought to myself, okay...here it comes.

Instead, he comes running over to me, so excited saying he wants to be in the Figure Skating show in 3 weeks, he told me, "I can be in the show at any level, the teacher said so"...

Can I really be the mom, with the kid in tights who can't make it across the ice once at the figure skating show?

The Easter Bunny is losing his touch...

So, somewhere Karson came up with that the Easter Bunny besides leaving everyone treats in one night, is also magical...

He can get Nintendo games months before they are released in stores, due to his magical powers..

Needless to say, Karson didn't get Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for Easter, since it doesn't hit stores till April 20th...and his response..

"Mom, I am not let down for not getting my game...I am just let down that the Easter Bunny is losing his touch!"

Man, Santa is going to really be on the ball this year, huh?

Snorkeling Pregnant?

So, I am lucky enough to get to go to Hawaii in 6 weeks...and I can't wait!
I am a little worried going 30 weeks pregnant, the last time Dave and I went we swam with the Dolphins in the middle of the Ocean, and hiked, and had a blast!
I am afraid if I go out swimming in the Ocean this time around I will be harpooned :)

THE 2% OF THE TIME :)

At least at my house, I feel like I am yelling like 98% of the time....

It's the 2% that makes it all worth while....today, was one of those days...

I came downstairs in my Mom's house, this is how I found Mitch (my nephew) and Kars.

Mitch just laid there on Kars for like 5 minutes watching him play his video game.

It was so sweet! I love these two little boys so much!

I have a sleep pee-er

So,

Karson always has to use the restroom while he is sleeping. ....The only problem is, is that, he absolutely can not find any of our bathrooms in our home at night!

The other night, I woke up to my husband saying "What in the hell" look over and see Karson standing in my bedroom with his little pants around his ankles, he had opened my night stand drawer and yes, PEED in it!

What do you do but laugh at 3:00 a.m. when there is a 6 year old peeing into one of your dressers. Karson thinks I was lying when I told him about it, he doesn't remember anything about it, Do you think there is a medical term for Sleep Peeing

I am so excited....

Alright, so besides the puking, and heartburn, lack of sleep, crazy hormones, worry, and all the fat you put on....

Isn't pregnancy the most incredible experience in the world. I remember loving being pregnant with Kars, and I think I am enjoying it even more now.

To feel something moving around and know what is going on is such a testimony to me of what an incredible experience I have been blessed with :)

I hope everyone has as good of an experience as I have been having, I wouldn't trade it for the world....

So,

A few days ago at lunch, Karson became really distant, like he was deep in thought.

I asked him, What's up bud?

He responded " I was just wondering Mom, what could you eat to make my little sister come out a black baby, instead of white baby, I really think I want a black little sister, how about Cocoa Crispies or chocolate milk?"...

Whoa! what do you even say to a comment like that. Oh the minds of a 6 year old.
I am so grateful for my little monkey of a kid and the laughter he brings everyday!

This is Sophie, Tony and Nicole's little girl with Karson, these two are the truest example of oil and water.

They can't help but bother each other, it doesn't matter what they are doing, they both go out of their way to make the other mad. It gets to be pretty funny actually!




This is my favorite picture of Karson that I have found, I am shocked at his big beautiful BLUE eyes and long eye lashes, He can be such a brat at times, and then pictures like this show up and I can't help but say "ohh" and this is such a sweetie, looks can be so deceiving, can't they?

The first picture is my niece Sophie and my nephew Jason, they are cute!

The second is Karson sledding at Brighton this last weekend. We had such a good time.

Karson and Dave went skiing, I felt too guilty about the pregnancy to go.

My whole family slept over in this enormous cabin about 100 yards from the slopes, we had a guitar hero contest, played wii tennis doubles, played pool and had a great time.

This pregnancy is making me a lunatic...Honestly!!

My husband has his 3 am speech down, it goes something like this...

Everything is okay honey, I am not leaving you, the kids are okay, the baby is going to be fine, the house isn't on fire, your job is okay, no one is dying from a car accident, the baby isn't going to have 7 toes, and mostly I do love you more than anything.

I think he recites it in his sleep anymore. He is so good to me.

I promise my honey everyday, we are on the downslope from here.
We are half way to the baby coming.
Good thing too. I don't know how much more my husband can handle of me.
